Do you hear her calling?
The healing spirit of the honey bee is reaching out to you.
The Hoshindo Healing Arts Institute is offering practitioner trainings in both Colorado and Nevada.
This sacred ancient lineage of healers and stewards of the bees currently has two sensei’s in North America/the West. Standing with permission from the wisdom keepers of this time honored practice, each one is devoted to carrying and passing on the torch of of this lineage.
Basil Sensei teaches in Paonia, Colorado.
On the journey of learning to become a Hoshindo Ryoho, or practitioner, the student will be guided through a spiral of information and hands on experience to graduate fully prepared to run their own Hoshindo practice.
Traditionally this would be a two year on-site apprenticeship with all information being shared orally. Through many years of refinement, the Hoshindo Healing Arts Institute has carefully crafted this into a one and a half year program made up of seven intensive modules. Each of which is two to three weeks in duration, on site.
The module model allows for a deep dive into the information. As a group we are fully immersed in the teachings of this lineage, as they have been preserved through the generations. Together we practice the prayer of connecting with the Spirit of the Honey Bee. We study the core understanding of the Five Elements through learning the courses of the meridians, the locations and meanings of the sixty-five tsubos (meridian access points), and taking of the pulses in order to hear the flow of Ki (Chi).
We also work directly with the bees, studying their biology and spending time with them through each of the four seasons. In this way, we come to understand their health and well being as best we can, learning to fulfill our commitment as stewards: to be keepers and guardians of the honey bee.
Over multiple modules the student will also receive both Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 attunements, allowing them the ability to channel the healing energy of Reiki.
We will practice the creating of products associated with the honey bee such as honey collection, propolis tincture, lotion, candles. The student will also have time and instruction in the wood shop in order to create and go home with their own top bar bee hive.
Following each module, the student returns home for a time of introspection and self study.
Additionally, in preparation to becoming active Hoshindo partitioners, students will:
be assisted in creating a website for their practice
be shown tips on organization and scheduling
graduate with testimonials from patients they have treated during clinical practice.
