Hoshindo is the ancient Japanese practice of applying live honey bee venom along the access points (tsubos) of the meridians to guide the body to health. Through a gentle and nurturing process live bee venom is brought to the relaxed body to help facilitate healing through a calming and nurturing experience. This painless healing modality encourages the body, mind and spirit to find their balance. The medicine the honey bee carries in her venom as well as the products she creates (propolis, honey, royal jelly, wax and pollen) can help the body regain it’s strength and balance from illnesses like Lyme Disease, MS, Arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. In the Hoshindo treatment the patient and the bee are held in the highest regard.

M.Basil Webb has been practicing Hoshindo since 2017 and offers treatments in Paonia and Boulder, Colorado. You can find out more about his personal story and healing journey with bee venom therapy here.

This is extraordinary work Basil is doing with the bees! During my two months in care I’ve seen my shoulder and knee pain disappear, my digestion has improved, and other issues we are working on are seeing improvements. Absolutely recommend this!

I received a wonderful treatment today with Basil in this ancient and unique healing art of Japanese Meridian Apitherapy or Bee Venom acupuncture. Basil’s presence and care was palpable throughout and I left feeling extremely relaxed and rejuvenated. Much gratitude for the Honey Bees.

Nothing short of magical! Stopped my Lyme in its tracks! Have been living my life again, and could not say enough good things that Hoshindo and the bees have done for me! If you’ve got neurological issues- gotta get Hoshindo in your system!
— John Fullbright
I have been receiving Hoshindo🐝 treatments from Basil for several months now, working to heal Lyme’s/ autoimmune symptoms. I have nothing but great things to say about his work and this incredible healing modality! Basil is patient and a great listener. He is also a talented Reiki practitioner and incorporates that into his treatments. The honeybee venom is powerful and gentle at the same time, I have felt gradually stronger and healthier the longer I keep with it. I also take propolis that Basil makes and that has been helping a lot too. Thank you Basil and the honeybees!!!

My journey into bee venom therapy through Hoshindo started last winter, in early 2023. A year and a half prior to beginning my training, I was in South America where through pure magic, I truly met the honeybee. This fascination of the honeybee came stemming from an unbelievable experience I had in the jungles of Peru, where a honeybee came out of my toes, stung me and disappeared about five inches above my foot. Witnessed by my partner at the time, it completely astounded the two of us. Over the next year, a series of honeybee stings, emergencies and cosmic encounters with the sweet honeybees would lead me to Hoshindo Healing Arts Institute. The call to work with the bees was beyond me and no longer something I could deny. Hoshindo, the way of the bee, is an ancient Japanese ceremonial tradition, working with the honeybee and her venom through the access points of the Eastern medicinal meridian systems. My instructor, Basil Sensei at Hoshindo Healing has been a profound teacher. I feel beyond blessed to be learning from someone so innately connected to the Hoshindo tradition as well as the magic of the honeybees. The journey into this deep shamanic bee world has only deepened my fascination with honeybees and the intrinsic magic that exists in this realm. I am about halfway through my training now and the excitement I feel for what is to come only grows stronger. I feel that honeybees have the power to truly help us expand and heal from so many ailments. To reconnect with nature, with ourselves. To feel the liquid sunlight that is their life force & to just bee here now.
